Zeba

Part of Live location tracking for employees / Field force management software

Field force management that ends in the payslip

Manage field teams in one system: who is on duty, where they went, which customer sites they visited and how far they travelled, and what that means for attendance, km claims and salary.

Why Zeba

Most field force tools stop at the map. Zeba carries the same check-in through attendance, visits, kilometres and payroll, so the people side of a field team is run in one place.

Field force management, field service management and sales CRM are different tools

Field force management software means different things depending on who is buying. Sales teams usually mean a CRM with order booking and beat plans. Service companies mean dispatch, work orders and spare parts. HR and operations teams mean something simpler and more urgent: knowing who is working, where, for how long, and what that means for pay.

Zeba is the third kind. It manages the people side of a field force: attendance, live location during working hours, visits to your own customer locations, kilometres, and the claims and salary that follow. It does not book orders, plan beats or dispatch jobs.

If you need those, run them in a dedicated tool and keep attendance, location and payroll in Zeba. The field team then has one source of truth for the hours and kilometres that decide their pay.

What field operations still stitch together

  • A tracker, a sheet and a payroll tool that never agree

  • Visits reported by phone with no location proof

  • Kilometre claims with no trail behind them

  • Field days rebuilt by hand at month end

What field force management covers in Zeba

Field work type, assigned in bulk

Assign the field work type to the people who work outside, so live location applies to them while office staff keep geofence punches.

Live status, not just a pin

See who is checked in and active, who is checked in but not active, who has gone inactive and who has a low battery, with distance covered so far.

Visits to your own customer locations

Add the sites your teams visit, assign them to employees, and staff mark a visit against them during a check-in.

Odometer readings with a photo

Capture the start-of-day and end-of-day odometer reading with a photo, shown on the day's timeline next to the route.

Km claims checked against the trail

Per-km claims can be reviewed against the route and distance for the session, and approved claims reach the payslip.

Attendance and payroll in the same system

The same check-in drives attendance, late marks and loss of pay, and feeds the payroll run, so field days are not rebuilt at month end.

Questions

Software that helps a business manage the people who work outside the office: their attendance, location, visits, travel and pay. The term covers three different kinds of product, so check what a vendor means: HR-side workforce management, sales force automation with order booking, and field service dispatch. Zeba is the first kind.

No. Field service management dispatches jobs, work orders and spare parts to technicians. Zeba does not do dispatch or work orders. It manages attendance, live location, visits, kilometres and payroll for the people who do the work.

No. Zeba is not a sales CRM. If you need order booking or beat planning, run that in a sales tool and keep attendance, location and payroll in Zeba so the field team is not paid from a spreadsheet.

Your company adds the customer sites, plants or branches it wants tracked and assigns them to employees. Staff mark a location visit against one of their assigned locations during a check-in. A location that has been tagged during a check-in cannot be deleted, so the visit history stays intact.

No. Live location applies during working hours or an active check-in and stops at check-out. Work types decide who is tracked live and who only uses geofence punches.

For per-kilometre reimbursement types, employees submit the distance with a category. Where live tracking is enabled, managers can review the claim against the route and distance for the session. Approved claims flow into the payroll run and show on the payslip.

It needs a clear written policy and employee awareness, and it should be limited to working hours. Read our guide to employee GPS tracking in India before you roll it out, and tell your team what is tracked and when it stops.
